Spring in My Mind

Beijing in Full Bloom (4-05-05)
There’s something about spring
that gives you this sense of anticipation that–Something’s Comin’
Could be! Who knows?
There’s something due any day
I will know, right away
Soon as it shows
It may come connanballing down
Through the sky
Gleam in its eye, bright as rose

Who knows?
It’s only just out of reach
Down the block, on a beach
Under a tree
I got a feeling there’s a miracle due
Gonna come true, comin’ to me…

Could it be, yes, it could
Something’s comin’, something good
If I can wait!
Something’s comin’,
I don’t know what it is
But it is gonna be great!

With a click, with a shock,
Phone’ll jingle, door will knock,
Open the latch!

Something’s comin’,
Don’t know when
But it’s soon
Catch the moon,
One-handed catch!

Around the corner,
Or whistlin’ down the river
Come on, deliver to me!

Will it be? Yes, it will!
Maybe just by holding still,
It’ll be there!
Come on, something,
Come on in,
Don’t be shy,
Meet a guy,
Pull up a chair!
The air is humming
And something great is coming!

Who knows?
It’s only just out of reach,
Down the block, on a beach,
Maybe tonight…Maybe tonight…Maybe tonight…! -From “The West Side Story”

  3. spring is awesome. it is spring here in chicago. I cannot begin to explain the excitement the new season brings about. I enjoyed reading your comments and thoughts… as a Christian and also a writer.

  4. Hey, Joey! It’s always nice to be found by a fellow Atenean. I’ve visited your blog and read “Panic Mode & Daily Miracles.” Will try to find the time to read that interesting interview with Fr. Vic. God bless! More miracles ahead!!!

  5. Thanks for stopping by. Appreciate it.

  6. Kumusta,

West Side Story is sheer genius. If only Rob Schneider and Phoebe Cates only knew.

This may seem random, but a quality book to read: “Escape to Manila” written by Frank Ephraim. Prolly a film in the works, Abba willing.

Interesting blog site you have here. Keep up the good work!

    Shalom,

    Cliff Rivera
